December 2019

My lei po’o making experience with Gina was one of my favorite things that I did on this trip. She was so personable, welcoming and passionate about sustainability and Hawaiian culture. I had an amazing time learning how to craft my very own lei with her. There was a great variety of flowers from soft subtle ones to statement pieces. If you want to make your own lei po’o right in waikiki, this is the class to book! Oh and she also fed me the best tasting mango I’ve had in my life! :) Mahalo Gina!

My sister, mom, and I took Gina’s class together. We started out with a brief meditation which was lovely. During the workshop, we learned a lot about the different types of flowers and leaves Gina brought and different techniques to create the flower crowns. She also brought delicious pineapple and took lots of photos for us. Gina is an incredible human being and we look forward to seeing her again in the future! Thank you!

I had a wonderful time making flower crowns. The flowers were fresh and it was an easy and creative way to learn about the nature native to Hawaii

Our group of 5 family members had a wonderful time and left with beautiful creations we wore into the new year, making it extra special. We will be doing this again on future trips!

I felt. pretty. haha Let’s put it right there. Gina is amazing she shared a spiritual chant with us before we started and worked with us closely to create each of our leis, the flowers were freshly picked, the ambience! - we were by the ocean, what could be better? afterwards we shared some fruits and took a bunch of fun photos. The flowers don’t last forever but the memories will.

The intimate experience was a lot of fun on the beautiful beach of Waikiki. It was a nice bonding experience for my teenage daughter and myself. I loved the meditation and reminder to be mindful, it was a great representation of living a Hawaiian life.
